Clap-Activated Lamp System
A fun, interaction-focused technology project that turns a lamp on and off automatically when it detects the sound of a clap.
Arduino
Sound Sensor
Circuit
Clap sounds detected via a sound sensor trigger a relay through Arduino once a certain threshold is exceeded, turning the lamp on or off.
A simple filtering logic based on pulse width and consecutive pulse count was applied to reduce false triggers (e.g. from speech).
The project is still under development; the goal is to add multi-room support and control via a mobile app.
Highlights
- Contactless control through sound-based triggering
- Simple signal filtering to reduce false positives
- Extensible circuit design
